"The ‘beach’ here was possibly the windiest spot (sorry Chicago!) I’ve ever been."

On behalf of Chicago, no apology is needed. The origin of the term "The Windy City" is widely debated. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windy_City,_Origin_o...

Great glacier photos, by the way!

Good Heavens Girl. All that passport stamping going on because the country of Chile is only 7 feet wide. Even the bus doesn't fit east and west. Just as there are no atheists in a fox hole, there are no feminists on a tour bus. Wait until you're back on US soil to burn that sports bra! I find the "no sheep jokes" directive very confining, but I'll honor your wishes since you're not feeling well. This is one of those legs of your trip that will improve as you look back on it. The scenery looks amazing. Andy might be the one with the best story to tell about this part of the venture. My butt hurts just thinking about a long bus ride on unpaved roads where you push the bus to get it started. Yikes. Where are you going once you leave Bedrock, Wilma?
