Your picture of the pavillion at Millenium park is very suitable. More suitable may have been the fountains. If you sit there in the Summer time (and thousands of people do) you'll see kids of every shape, color and creed playing together waiting for the fountain to spray a huge stream of water out of the mouth of one of the "faces of Chicago" projected on the fountain. Everything that's right about the world is seen and heard through the collection of all of these kids playing together and enjoying each other. They're still too young to have developed any ill will toward anyone. Every city has some ethnicity and assimilation into Americanism, but Chicago might be the best balance in the world.
