Bartolomé Island – The Galapagos at Dusk
One of my favorite “natural” (definition: existing in or caused by nature; not made or caused by humankind) places in the world is this tiny group of islands off the coast of Ecuador. I was fortunate enough to visit the Galapagos right at the start of my ’round the world tour back in the fall of 2006. It was amazing and felt like a once in a lifetime experience. In fact, my friend Ayngelina of Bacon is Magic is there right now and created this wonderfully whimsical video that will show you exactly why I love it — the fearless animals that inhabit the islands. Yes, their name is funny, but have you ever seen the sexy strut of a blue-footed booby?! Take a couple minutes to watch the video and put a smile on your face!
I know I would still love it today, but now that I’ve seen so much of the world since then and now, I wonder if I would ‘feel’ a little less or be less in awe. I hope not.
What about you? Do you feel that you can travel too much? How do you keep travel burnout at bay?
