I traveled around the world for three years. I’ve been to 60+ countries, taken dozens of flights, and met some of the most wonderful people. It’s the people that made the trip. They touched my life and my heart and have forever changed me.
Here is a video I put together that helps me look back and remember all the amazing times from my recent travels and gives you a glimpse of how the world looks through my lens. Hopefully if you are thinking about doing something like this or at least taking more than just a week vacation, this will inspire and move you too.
When I watch it back, I choke back tears every time. In some ways it feels like someone else’s life. Did I really do all that? Keep in mind, that’s how highlight reels look. I highly recommend travel, as I think it’s sort of “life intensified.”

Great video. Only one thing better than all your travels and adventures: You're back in one piece to a place where people love you.
Your cousin,

So – How can I hire you to do one of those for me? 🙂
Terrific…
Excellent video. It must be so nice for you to relive your experience like this.
Really nice video! Great shots and presentation, very inspiring!
Thank you all so much! Was that my life??
great vedio.
Bravo! A really top-notch video. I’ve made a few videos about Spanish cooking but comparing your video to mine is like comparing the Taj Mahal to a fort little kids made out of couch cushions. I’d ask you to make a video for me, too, but then you’d also have to invent a time machine to go back and actually take some decent photos of my travels. While you are kicking around in my past snapping pictures you’d also have to do a lot more traveling for me. To my credit, I do tend to hang out for a long time in the places I like. I may make it to half of the places you have seen if I live to be about 110 years old (as I stub out my cigar and pour out the remains of a brandy at 7 am). (Clutching chest tightly) Must…eat…less…pork!
The travel advice you give is very practical. Listen to her, people. Travel light! I wrote my own travel survival guide that was published in an American magazine.
Love it. You did such a great job on the editing and quotes! Ugh. Makes me miss being on the road so much… all I can think about is that I'll be on the road in just a few months! Eeeeee.
So excited to be part of the backpacking community!
@Jenny- Thanks! I can't wait to follow along with your travels…and who knows? Maybe meet up with you somewhere.
So cool what you are about to do!
