Photo of the Week: The Underwear of Aracena, Spain

Underwear in Aracena, Spain
Boxer Briefs & Church
Aracena, Spain

I was lucky enough to go off-the-beaten path with my couchsurfing host from Sevilla, Spain when he took me hiking in Aracena, which is a tiny village located near the western border of Spain northwest of Sevilla. We hiked some trails, ate an amazing lunch with some of the local jamon, and of course, saw the village underwear, some men’s boxer briefs enjoying the breezes of Aracena, Spain.

Damn, I've been looking for my red boxers! BTW, the guy who owns the ones in the middle is; a) not of Irish decent, b) had some work done! lol

That would've been too perfect Marlys…or people would definitely suspect Photoshop!

Seems quite European. Everyone hangs their laundry outside. Germans on the balcony, Italians have little window lines and apparently the Spanish prefer a field.

Thanks for the comment Andrew! Very true. I did learn while on my RTW travels that having a clothes dryer is quite a luxury in most parts of the world and often thought of as an unnecessary expense. Of course my mom still has no dryer and hangs clothes out to dry in Colorado, but she's the minority in the States. But…I've also been not really using the dryer anymore either…I like saving money, energy, and the environment at the same time. 🙂
