I spent the last few weeks making my way down around Southern Spain into the Andalucía region—an area that is Spain intensified and is said to be the most ‘undiluted’ heart of the country. It is also the original home of tapas, brutal bull fighting, and passionate flamenco dancing. I started in charming Granada which is home to the magical and awe-inspiring former Muslim Palace of Alhambra. It was amazing.
I spent a few lazy days soaking up the Mediterranean rays in the ‘tranquilo’ tiny white-washed Costa del Sol town of Nerja. And then spent a few more ‘days doing nothing’ in Cadiz just west of the ‘rock of Gibraltar’ and on the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. I can’t believe I’ve already reached the shores of the Atlantic. I gazed across toward America blew a kiss and continued to… do nothing. So, keeping with this relaxed theme… I therefore did not write anything (well except this paragraph). So instead, you can also relax and ‘just look at the pictures.’
PS-I’m heading to London for Christmas and New Years. Does anyone know ANYONE I can meet there? Thanks.
Hey lady!! Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope you're having a great Spanish-style relaxed day! I wish I knew someone in London for you, but I don't think I do. I will ask around though and see if I can find some one… I'll let you know what I can find.
I'm looking through my phonebook now….Sir Paul is busy, Sir Elton is touring, Dodi won't pick up the phone and doesn't return calls. Hmmm, maybe Liz and Phil, even though their a royal pain sometimes. Dave moved because his haughty wife wanted Rodeo Drive. Tony and Cherie gave up their guest house on Downing St. Wow, my closest friends there are either busy weird or not returning calls. When you get to Chicago, I have a more reliable list!
Mmmmmm thanks for those beautiful pictures. I did "relax" as I pondered each scene.
Thank You 🙂
I'm going to write your mom now and see how things are swinging in Colorado! Take care Around the World Lisa!
omg! SO gorgeous! i miss spain so much!! i've been to all those places — i could have stayed in granada forever … awww man i miss that place!
You got some great pictures of Andalucia! Will you be making it up to Cordoba at all? it's great to get to know after Granada. Plus it'll fit right in with your new Spanish Lifestyle!
¡Saludos!
