Christmas is more than a holiday; it is an adventure that unites the world beneath a lavishly decorated tree. Some celebrate the occasion at home, while others enjoy traveling to exotic locations throughout the globe.

The festival of the event transcends religious and geographical boundaries, as much of the entire globe celebrates it with zeal. You may already have arrangements to celebrate the holiday season in your own unique way, as the holiday is quickly approaching.

There are numerous fantastic Christmas holiday destinations throughout the globe known for their decorations and classical holiday vibes. At the Rockefeller Center, visitors are stunned by the giant Christmas tree and ice skating beneath it. The storefront windows are all decked out for the season with some magnificent displays.  New York City is always an amazing place to visit and going in December makes for some Instagram-worthy moments!

3. The Vatican, Italy

The Vatican City stays alluring throughout the year, but December is particularly enchanting. There are roasted chestnuts on every street corner and the city is brimming with beautiful scenery.

Many pilgrims gather for Midnight Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica on Christmas Eve in the Vatican City guaranteeing them a memorable day. Visit one of the world’s top Christmas destinations in addition to making your Christmas Eve more memorable.

4. Lapland, Finland

If you enjoy some Santa Claus sightings at this beautiful time of year, the Arctic Circle of Finland is the spot for you. The man dressed in red and white is the most beloved citizen in this city. You can accompany him through forests filled with reindeer and witness his elves making the toys.

The city offers a magnificent wonderland, making it the ideal destination for those who enjoy a white Christmas. Lapland, among the most popular Christmas locations, includes an incredible “Santa Park” which is wonderful for the whole family.

 

5. Bondi Beach, Australia

Bondi Beach in Sydney Australia is renowned for presenting the opposite of the snowy Christmas scene that many of us know the northern hemisphere. It’s summer down under and here they celebrate Christmas with sand, sun, and surf, making it one of the most unique places to celebrate in a new way.

The beach entices many travelers to leave their homes and attend the most magnificent Christmas party. Bands and DJs create the ideal celebratory ambiance. Visit Bondi to experience more than Christmas trees with fairy lights this holiday season.

6. Prague, Czech Republic

Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is a stunning sight. It is one of the world’s most stunning Christmas destinations. On the famous Nerudova Street in Mala Strana, you can snap glimpses of the Baroque and Gothic grandeur of the city. Attend ballet and opera performances at the State Opera or National Theater. Visit the festive markets in Wenceslas Square as well as Old Town Square.

7. Dublin, Ireland

Numerous Christmas-related activities are available all throughout the capital of Ireland. The Docklands hosts the 12 Days of Christmas Market, which features pantomimes, Christmas lights, and holiday spirit. The city streets are exquisitely illuminated with floods of light. 8. Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam is another fantastic Christmas location. The legend of Santa Claus (known locally as Sinterklaas) is prevalent in the Dutch capital, where 16th- and 17th-century houses are illuminated with shimmering lights in early December.

If you stay here until New Year’s Eve, you can savor champagne and fireworks in Dam Square or the Nieuwmarkt to make the season unforgettable.

 

9. Munich, Germany

Munich is among the world’s most attractive Christmas getaways. Winter in Munich is synonymous with a 100-foot-tall Christmas tree on the Marienplatz and dozens of festive Christmas markets.

10. Zurich, Switzerland
