Five Places To Visit on a Private Plane from the USA

You are here: Home / Guest Posts / Five Places To Visit on a Private Plane from the USA

//  by Guest Poster Leave a Comment

In the past, hiring a plane was an option only for millionaires and major corporations. Even though renting a private jet is pricier than traveling by commercial airliner, the price has dropped considerably. Private air travel is now an option for the middle class, especially if the destination is obscure and not easily reachable by commercial planes. If you plan a vacation for the coming months, you may be curious about renting a plane to make the experience more enjoyable. Below is our list of the top five destinations that may necessitate traveling by private jet from the United States.

1. Bora Bora

Booking a private jet charter is about getting the best flying experience. When you are traveling in such luxury and style, your destination should be equally entertaining.

Bora Bora is one of the best places to visit throughout the year. The world’s envy is its blue waters, snow-white beaches, and luxury resorts. The island is perfect for honeymoons, wedding anniversaries, visiting with a group of friends, and even for a solo trip.

The experience is more enjoyable when you travel privately, as you can land at one of the smaller airports nearby rather than needing to fly through a major commercial airport.

2. Aspen

Located in Colorado and famous for its snowy peaks and winter sports, Aspen is the skiing capital of the United States. Chartering a plane to Aspen is the way to go for a winter getaway this or next year.

Combining private jet travel with visiting a skiing resort will give you the most luxurious vacation experience imaginable. All of Aspen is worth a visit, from the hiking and biking trails to the charming pop-up bars and restaurants.

Rather than spending extra hours navigating commercial flights and airports, you can travel privately and get there in quick time. Then, you can relax for the rest of your vacation, enjoying Aspen and its unmatched winter wonders.

Aside from being popular for skiing and other winter sports, Aspen is also a significant financial destination.

3. Maldives

maldivesGoing on a private jet to the Maldives may seem excessive, but you are likely to have a wonderful time. A beautiful island nation on the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is a private place where you can have a luxurious and quaint vacation without being disturbed.

While you can travel commercially, the trip would include many stops and take up a lot of time. If you are only on vacation for a week, traveling by private jet ensures you can land on the island where you have booked a resort.

There are even seaplanes in the Maldives that you can use to move through the different islands if you want to visit various tourist hotspots or get a feel for the atmosphere on each island.

4. Portland, Maine

Whenever someone hears about visiting Portland in the USA, they are likely thinking of Portland, Oregon. While the West Coast city is a great deal of fun and a perfect tourist spot, Portland, Maine, is also a delightful place to visit.

The small town is on the coast of Maine, sitting on a peninsula on the Casco Bay. What started as a modest trading and fishing settlement in the 1600s is now a gorgeous small town with beautiful scenery, classy shopping and dining spots, and highly-rated hotels and resorts.

A trip to Portland, Maine, is shorter and more convenient when you can charter a private plane, as you can fly in and out of Portland International Jetport, less than 3 miles from the town.

5. St. Barts

A charming and gorgeous island in the Caribbean where you can have the vacation of a lifetime, St. Barts is best reached when traveling by private jet. Commercial flights are kept from its airport, meaning you must connect through a nearby island. Luckily, you can avoid such a time-consuming detour by traveling privately and landing on the island at your convenience.

The beauty of St. Barts is that you can enjoy high-end restaurants, lush greenery, beautiful hills, sandy beaches, and immaculate resorts within walking distance. St. Barts has so much to do, but everything is still accessible. Traveling to the Caribbean via private jet is so convenient, and there are some islands where you do not even need a passport to enter.

Any vacation is more enjoyable when you can travel privately, discreetly, and in luxury. Private jets meet all three criteria, making them one of the most influential and enjoyable flying methods. Even though you can still have an incredible time if you fly a private plane to New York, Boston, or Los Angeles, the experience is even more unique when you visit obscure destinations. Small towns, charming resorts, and areas that are harder to reach when flying commercially can become a part of your vacation plans. If you book a private jet in the coming weeks, visiting any of the five places we have highlighted above will be great fun.
