Indy Car in Chicago

Video: Indy Car Ride on the Streets of Chicago

You are here: Home / North America / USA / Chicago / Video: Indy Car Ride on the Streets of Chicago

Vroom Vroom

I opened one of about 81 emails from that day.

“Are you in town this Friday?” wrote my friend Morgan from Visit Indy. “I am coming up to Chicago in a street-legal Indy car. Want us to pick you up and take you for a spin around the city streets? Have anywhere you need to be and would like to arrive in style?”

Um, yes!

Watch my video here of my sweet ride around town in an Indy Car! There’s info below on how to get a ride yourself.

Indy_1

Start Your Engines!

The Indy Racing Experience just unveiled its year-round Victory Laps program, giving fans the opportunity to ride around the legendary 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval in their choice of a two-seat Indy car, a NASCAR, or Chevrolet Impala event car.

For the first time ever, fans age 9 and older can participate in the program, with the top speed for all Victory Lap rides at 60 mph.

The cost is $60 for each two-seater ride.

Indy Car

Of course is you want even more speed (and have more cash), there are other experiences as well where you can ride and go up to 180 mph around a track or even drive yourself!

That was a fun time Morgan! Only sorry our cops weren’t as nice downtown as they were in Lakeview. 🙂
