2012 Out!
Well friends, it’s time for yet another year to come to a close. For someone who has a ‘home base’ now in Chicago, I still can’t believe how fortunate I am to get to travel as much as I do. And, if I can take a moment to be sappy…I can’t do it without all of you – my readers. Some of you have been with me since the beginning, way back in 2006. And some are fairly new. Either way, you are the reason I am able to keep doing what I love – traveling, eating, learning, and bringing a little bit of the world back to you.
I am still amazed every day at how this blog has become the nucleus of a new career. I truly appreciate the time you take to come over here and take a peek into my life now and again. Hopefully you learn something or pick up a good tip or a laugh now and again.
I love hearing from you. So, feel free to leave a comment and say ‘hi’…and tell me about you, because you never know when I’ll be in your town and would love a friend to show me around…
Happy New Year!
Lisa
A Look Back at My Travels of 2012 – Thirteen Shots to Ring in 2013:
Happy 2013 Friends! What are your travel plans or dreams for this year?
Around the World Lisa (as I refer to you lol) it is always so nice to take a moment to look at your blog, enjoy your beautiful pictures. Thank you for the smiles this year. Have a very Happy New Year and tell your mom and Joe the Mountain Man and his lady send their love.
Hugs
Nanci
Thanks for always checking on Nanci! I hope 2013 is a great one for all of you!
I absolutely love that shot of Sweden! I’d love to visit Sweden and Russia in 2013.
Hi Jennifer! Thanks so much! I can’t recommend Sweden enough. Especially if you love herring. 😉 (which i actually do now!)
Looks like you had a great year. Love these shot, some from my favorite places. And look at those cute young Cubs fans!
Thanks Cathy! Those Cubs fans are my boyfriend’s boys. I love the smiles on their faces in that shot!
Love the Sweden shot as well. Looks as if those houses are just losely placed on the ground.
A lot of my 2013 travel is still undecided, but definitely planned are Portugal and London!
Thanks Sofie! Sweden is one of my faves.
Great photos! I especially like the ones from Norway.
Thanks Ian. Have you been to Norway? It is stunning at every turn.
I haven’t been yet but it’s on my list. I was thinking of visiting the Fjords while I was in Northern Finland but it didn’t fit into the budget 🙁 Next time though!
Some lovely shots, Lisa. I was like “ooh I like that one from Costa Rica, ooh St Petersburg, oh look at that one in Sweden.” So I (think) that’s my fave!
BTW, for the mathematically inept (i.e. me) your CAPTCHA’s evil! Third time lucky and this comment will fly…
Thanks Sarah! Sweden is so lovely. Sorry about the captcha! Maybe I should remove it. I hate them too actually! It seems they are getting harder for even humans to read!
These are cool photos! The Fjords, Norway is breathtaking. Would also love to be in that same spot as you took the photo.
Thanks Tom. Norway is now one of my favorites! So scenic.
I like the way you’ve framed the bridge photo, and ofcourse the Llama one, its so cute!
Thanks for commenting Ally! The bridge had just gone down…that’s why there’s such a mass of people on it!
