2012: The Year in Photos

2012 Out!

Well friends, it’s time for yet another year to come to a close. For someone who has a ‘home base’ now in Chicago, I still can’t believe how fortunate I am to get to travel as much as I do. And, if I can take a moment to be sappy…I can’t do it without all of you – my readers. Some of you have been with me since the beginning, way back in 2006. And some are fairly new. Either way, you are the reason I am able to keep doing what I love – traveling, eating, learning, and bringing a little bit of the world back to you.

I am still amazed every day at how this blog has become the nucleus of a new career. I truly appreciate the time you take to come over here and take a peek into my life now and again. Hopefully you learn something or pick up a good tip or a laugh now and again.

I love hearing from you. So, feel free to leave a comment and say ‘hi’…and tell me about you, because you never know when I’ll be in your town and would love a friend to show me around…

Happy New Year!
Lisa

Love the Sweden shot as well. Looks as if those houses are just losely placed on the ground.
A lot of my 2013 travel is still undecided, but definitely planned are Portugal and London!

I haven’t been yet but it’s on my list. I was thinking of visiting the Fjords while I was in Northern Finland but it didn’t fit into the budget 🙁 Next time though!

Some lovely shots, Lisa. I was like “ooh I like that one from Costa Rica, ooh St Petersburg, oh look at that one in Sweden.” So I (think) that’s my fave!

Thanks Sarah! Sweden is so lovely. Sorry about the captcha! Maybe I should remove it. I hate them too actually! It seems they are getting harder for even humans to read!

Thanks for commenting Ally! The bridge had just gone down…that’s why there’s such a mass of people on it!
